ON THE UP, ON THE DOWN

When things are going for you, they really do go for you.  Away from our convincing display against the dispondant Pilgrims last night, no other side in the 8 League One fixtures picked up maximum points last night.

This follows on from last weeks celebration of 150 days at the top - a whopping 14 teams all enjoying the bridesmaid spot during our wonderfully extended tenure.

Our football is the best we've seen in generations, yet the inability of our rivals to take advantage of our, albeit rare, slip ups suggests that luck has also been on or side.

Just last night for example, the tenacious Bournemouth failed to convert a penalty in the 52nd minute and hit the bar late on.  This follows Huddersfields late equaliser at Dean Court on Saturday that further eroded the Cherries current claim of having the best home record in the league.

It's not just Bournemouth though, they have all been missing penatlies, hitting the post, conseding late goals, the list goes on.

Lest us forget though, the luck paradigm is as destructive as it is useful.  Plymouth are getting their share right now and it's warming to know Albion showed deep empathy with Argyle last night, as we all know too well when things don't go for you, they really don't go for you.
