KNIGHT WILL MAKE NOTHING FROM SHARE DEAL

Albion legend Dick Knight has revealed he won’t make “a penny profit” if he is able to follow through with his wish to offer a million shares to supporters.

Knight, the man credited with leading the fight to save the Seagulls, was replaced as chairman by Tony Bloom when the latter stumped up funding for the club’s state-of-the-art stadium at Falmer.

He still holds a position at the club but while promoting his memoirs, MadMan: From the Gutter to the Stars, Knight revealed he plans to sell supporters his shares at £1 a pop. And, according to current chief executive Paul Barber, it was news to the Albion.
