12 March 2009

We last played Yeovil in the 1-1 draw at Huish Park in September. Was that really this season? – seems like a lifetime ago. It’s all set up to be a dramatic afternoon against the Glovers: Relegation scrap, Russell Slade’s old club and Nathan Jones doing whatever Assistant Managers do. What better way of commemorating the occasion than grabbing a copy of TSLR008?

This particular Yeovil fan won’t be purchasing the new issue (TSLR008), which is out on Saturday:

“…the overall matchday experience of Brighton & Hove Albion FC is one of the most miserable and annoying ever experienced - and this at a ground where we've always won so far. Anywhere decent to eat and drink is miles away. The stadium has a NATO enforced exclusion zone covering most of South-East England around it on matchdays, inside which sneezing is not allowed as you might upset the residents….I ticked off this ground on our 2006 visit and swore never to go back to be ripped off again for such a cruddy experience, and intend to continue sticking to that promise.” (from ciderspace.co.uk)

Try doing Withers for a decade!

Unlike the Albion, TSLR has managed to avoid any last minute slip-ups and has been shortlisted for a trio of gongs in the Fanzine Awards 2009:

- Best Football League Print
- Best Blog
- Best Editor

Like an entrant in the Mr.Viagra competition, TSLR is up against some stiff competition - click the categories above to see who we’re up against. It’s all down to the panel now; although we can’t expect much from the people who wouldn’t allow us to be nominated for Best Premier League Fanzine.

Thanks for all of your voting and support!
