AFTER THE BLACK AND RED RUSH

When news filtered in to TSLR Towers last week that Neil Young had passed away, we reached desperately for a copy of After the Gold Rush. A few minutes later it transpired that the person in question was actually former Manchester City footballer Neil Young. According to the Manchester Evening News, it sounds like he was a massive legend and fair play to him. But what really got our juices going was the above picture of one of the finest football shirts in memory. If only our current away kit was as slickly cotton as the one above, then all would be perfect. Having revealed on this very blog in the last couple of weeks that our away garb next season will feature hideous green and black stripes, surely the only way Errea can save themselves is if they bring back the cotton. And none of this sponsored IT shit on the front either.
