BLUE (STUART) MUNDAY

They say that today is the saddest day of the year or something, but hey, The Argus was going about Brighton being the happiest city in Britain last week so perhaps today is just a kind of neutral day?

For Albion fans Blue Monday is now offcially Blue Munday, in reference to squad/god-bothering mid-90s midfielder Stuart Munday who is famous for this howitzer against then-Premier League side Leicester City in the then-Coca Coal Cup return leg at Filbert Street in 1994.  I think we lost to then-Premier League Swindon Town in the next leg but who cares.

I was at this game. The Bloke Behind Me (TM) spent most of the time abusing Munday remarking admirably "Don't give it to that cu..." before being cut short when Munday launched his rocket-shot. Still looks good today.
